Spotlight on Hastings Youth Commons
Transforming Spaces for the Young people of Hastings
I wanted to take this time to share some exciting updates about one of my favourite projects this year: my collaboration with Hastings Youth Commons. This initiative is all about transforming a derelict space in the heart of Hastings into an amazing centre for young people.
The Challenge
The project aims to breathe new life into an old, unused space. The team needed a vision plan that would capture their dreams and ideas while also laying out a practical roadmap for the transformation.
The Process
Working closely with the fabulous youth team, I facilitated a series of visual planning workshops. These sessions were filled with energy and creativity, and we produced some wonderful visual plans. The young people were so engaged and full of ideas!
The Outcome
The result was a detailed vision plan, complete with illustrations and actionable steps. This plan will guide Hastings Youth Commons as they transform the space. I’m thrilled to continue working with them on this incredible journey.

Looking Ahead
As we move forward, the excitement around this project continues to grow. The next steps involve more workshops and community engagement to ensure the space meets the needs and dreams of the young people it will serve.
